Stand Up To Cancer!

Last week was a very exciting week for the Isle of Wight with the Dragon Boat Race in aid of Stand Up To Cancer. We were proud to see two of our own (Katie Stevens and Liam Lord) participate in the race on the River Medina and we had great fun watching them all come in.

A total of 20 teams took part and the Celebrity Dragon Boat, which included John Giddings, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch, James Walsh and Caroline Corrs – just to name a few – won again for the second year in a row.

Celebrations continued into the evening at The Breeze, Island Harbour, where we were lucky enough to have the company of Caroline Corrs (The Corrs), James Walsh (Starsailor) and Keith Duffy (Boyzone) with us. 

Besides the fun everyone had on the day, the best part of this whole event has to be the £60,000 that was raised for Stand Up To Cancer. This goes towards research to help families everywhere.
